What You'll Do

As a member of our team, you'll join forces with our current care aides to help manage day to day tasks and provide healthcare to a 34-year old woman in her home.

Being part of the Badger Care team you will have the opportunity to interact closely with members of our lively team, learn how to become a master of your craft, and nail your job responsibilities, which include:

  • Providing personal care: bathing, dressing, toileting, meal prep, and transfers to/from bed and power wheelchair
  • Providing medical care: medication administration, stoma care, and respiratory care (including suctioning and ventilator management – training will be provided)
  • Maintaining equipment and supplies
  • Accompanying your client to work, social activities, and medical appointments

Shifts

10-hour shifts (8am-8pm and 8pm-8am) - day, night, and weekend shifts are available

What We'll Love About You

  • You have a Grade 12 diploma (or equivalent)
  • You have written and communication skills that are sharp as a tack
  • You live within commuting distance of the home in North Langley
  • You have the ability to tune out buzz and hone in on tasks at hand
  • You have time management skills that will blow our minds
  • You have amazing interpersonal skills
  • You have excellent problem solving and detection skills
  • You are able to handle a physical workload
  • You have a driver's licence and reliable transportation
  • You are able to work a minimum of three (3) 12-hour shifts each week

You will be a preferred candidate if

  • You have experience in hospice, home health, or other related fields
  • You can work a combination of days, nights, and weekends

Makes and gloves are mandatory. Medical grade masks and gloves are available for use.

Compensation

$19.00 - $23.00 per hour
